Some questions are too specific for a workshop and too complex or consequential for a quick opinion. I happily take on one of those harder questions and produce a written analysis that includes an assessment of the ethically relevant purpose and function of the technology, the technical choices that produce the outcomes in dispute, and where in the design those choices could be altered. The deliverable is an action-guiding report, followed by a debrief call on what it means for your work and processes.
