For every potential collaboration, I will tell you whether I'm the right fit, and if I am we agree scope and timeline before any work begins. If I'm not the right fit, or a collaborator would serve you better, I will say so directly rather than take on work I can't do well.

How we start

You send an email describing the decision or situation you're facing, in as much or as little detail as you are willing and able to share. I respond with whether it's a fit, usually within a day, and we put a free 30-minute orientation call in the diary. That call is not the work. It establishes what you need and which engagement fits, and it costs you nothing if the answer turns out to be that I am not the right person.

After that I send a proposal with clear scope, timeline, and cost before any charged work begins. If your situation is urgent, tell me and I'll treat it that way.

Working with collaborating philosophers

From January 2027 onward I will draw on a small network of excellent moral philosophers that I will work with regularly based on a model we're developing at www.MoralTechnologists.com. I bring one in when a project needs more depth or a specific area of expertise than I can offer alone. We'll be able to take on larger projects from 2027.

Frequently asked questions

Where are you based, and what time zone should I plan around? I'm based in the Netherlands, Central European Time. I regularly work with teams across other time zones and never struggle to find a meeting time that works.

What languages do you work in? English, Dutch, and German.

Will you sign an NDA? Yes. Confidentiality is standard for this kind of work and I'm happy to sign whatever your legal team requires before we discuss specifics.

What's your availability? Shorter engagements (advisory sessions, ethical analysis briefings) now. Larger engagements (technology governance builds, moral imagination workshops, ongoing research lab advising) begin January 2027.
